W. C.Jameson, a Texas treasure, treasure seeker, author, adventurer, and raconteur will be featured at the July ARTS Encounters. W. C. Jameson is the award-winning author of more than 100 books And 1,500 published articles and essays. He is the creator of the "Buried Treasures of America" series (46 books and counting}, the "Beyond the Grave" series, the "Train Robbery" series, and the "Investigating History's Mysteries" series. According to his publishers, Jameson is the best selling treasure author in America. His book Treasure Hunter: Caches, Curses, and Confrontations, was named Indie Reader Book of the Year in 2011. Jameson's prominence as a professional treasure hunter and author has led to stints as an advisor, narrator, and authority on numerous documentaries and series episodes based on his books and featured on the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the Travel Channel, the American Heroes Channel, and more. He has also appeared on NPR, PBS, Nightline, and Coast to Coast. Jameson served as an advisor to the film National Treasure starring Nicolas Cage and appears in an interview on the DVD. Several of his books have been optioned for film, and his work has appeared in ten anthologies. In 2015 Jameson was inducted into the Treasure Hunters Hall of Fame. In 2019 he was inducted into the Colorado Authors Hall of Fame.

As a songwriter, producer, recording artist, and performer, Jameson has participated in ten critically acclaimed CDs of original music, three of which appeared on the EuroAmericana Top 40. In 1999 he was named Songwriter of the Year by the Texas Folk Guild and has contributed to the soundtracks of seven feature films and documentaries. Jameson wrote and performed in the musical Whatever Happened to the Outlaw, Jesse James? and two of his compositions are listed in the Top 100 Western Songs of all time. As an actor, he has appeared in five films.

When not working on a book, a television project, or involved in a treasure recovery operation, Jameson tours the country as a speaker, conducting writing seminars, and performing his music at folk festivals, concert halls, theaters, roadhouses, and on television. He lives in Texas.

Featuring Urkranian sculptor Serge Mozhnevksy who created the first commissioned sculpture here at Museo Benini, The Inner and Outer World of Benini, the 10 ft. polished aluminum sculpture in front of the office.

Arts Encounters at Museo Benini 2025 continues its tradition of presenting creative professions in an afternoon salon. 

Ukrainian sculptor Serge Mozhnevsky, who lives in Vancouver, will be at Museo Benini with a talk about his life and work as a sculptor Sunday, May 11, at 1:00. His 10 ft. sculpture, "The Inner and Outer World of Benini” was the first commissioned sculpture at the ranch which now features 52 sculptures on the trails. Following his presentation, George Smith and Friends will present a drumming session that features international themes and rhythms. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
